i have only about 120 and it wouldnt get any more so its around there somewhere, give or take a few.(automatic, no paddle shifters)

How come someone said it did 131 mph?? Is it possible?

I do wonder about the engine stress having only 5 gears reaching 110+

Fastest I've gone was 119 , it was on 6th gear around 5000rpms.

not really i have gone faster than that in my lancer gts
i have gone about 137mph in it racing some cars on the highway.
mine don't got a limiter and its not that hard to get to 120 either.
and my car is still stock.

I haven't really pushed mine but I had it up to 105 and didn't even realize it. I thought I was doing about 80 by the feel of it. I know I could have pushed it much further but didn't.

Not sure how fast I was going, but one night I was passing a few cars on the 7 mile bridge and I couldnt see my headlights. As far as racing, I raced a lil hooptie and of course I beat it. I only went about 80 mph though. The speed limit here doesnt go over 35. So glad no cops were around. :)

Mine definitely is limited to 125 MPH. It doesn't "cut off" like some cars but the speed won't push any higher.

Geez I feel like the geezer here.....the fastest I got her up to was 80! :lol: I didn't realize it at first & backed off quick....don't need to get a ticket.
It surprised me though how easily it got up to that. I was just going to pass someone who was jerking around on the interstate & whola....quicker than I thought....not bad.

Last night me and two friends were in my 5 speed es. Going on an interstate which spped limit is 75mph. AT 3am i got to 136mph mainly flat with slight hills. i hit that speed while it was flat. No joke. i still had some rpm lefts before it would cut. it does take a while after 125 to get to 135+ there. This is stock car in az And almost full tank of gas and 91 octane. dont know if that helped.
