Hello all, new/old excited Mitsubishi owner here. My 1991 Galants SOHC 2.0 not charging the battery. I just bought the car from a dealer for $800 and they said they replaced the alternator it is a reman from autozone but it isnt working. At the battery it isnt charging and the best I can tell all the wires are hooked up to the alternator but there is this one that is dangling between the alternator and the radiator, it has a female spade connector on it but I cant find anywhere to STICK IT. Can anybody help??

That wire most likely goes to the oil filter housing & you will probably have to jack up the car to see the connection.

Also, good luck w/ those Autozone reman. alternators!
I changed two of them out in two months before I found one that lasted longer than A month.

The problem lies in the fact that they do NOT replace electronic components in their rebuilds (read voltage regulator).
