QUOTE(co1rob @ Jan 12 2008, 01:29 PM) It won't happen. Mitsu has changed their target market with no intent of going back.
I think your wrong Dude... "Forty-seven days and counting, and we can?t get enough news about the upcoming Detroit auto show. Today, Mitsubishi revealed two sketches ? the second is below ? of the Concept-RA it will debut at Cobo Hall in Detroit. We?re not exactly sure why Mitsubishi is revealing a new coupe concept, but perhaps it is a precursor to the next Eclipse. The Concept-RA will feature a clean-diesel engine along with the all-wheel-drive drivetrain and dual clutch transmission from the new Mitsubishi Evo. A few years after its release, we?re still not sold on the Eclipse?s looks. What do you think? Already time for a change?" Oh and sorry for not posting with the original quote but I just had to get these awsome pics up ASAP! :blush-anim-cl:

QUOTE(co1rob @ Jan 13 2008, 03:05 PM) Orly? So why didn't mitsu offer the 3g or even 4g in a turbo version? Throw the same motor as the Evo in a 3g hell even a 4g and it would have sold to the younger crowd like hot cakes.
I think you were right about the market target but wrong the fact that it's in the works to be built....And who's Orly???? On a side note: You know the moter would have been a shot to Mitsu's foot to put the same in the Eclipse besides one of the builders up there in Normal told me that the insurance industry had been threating potental customers pockets about those turbo motors and it slowed sales. ;) 2 door = High Insurance. 4 door = Low Insurance. ;)
