When the dash kit comes out for this car its probly going to be a couple bucks. $$
The factory sterio is decent, correct me if i'm wrong but didn't mitsubishi have something to to with tsunami audio? ALSO Mitsubishi has some of the best industrial electrical components worldwide. If i were you i'd go with an amp that can recieve a high level input and just tap off your speaker wires. if you get a decent amp i'll bet you it sounds stellar.

I've been searching for a wiring harness adapter and installation kit for an aftermarket stereo.

After looking at pictures of the stereo it appears that the stereo is integrated into the dash panel which makes it difficult to install a new stereo without some serious work.

Since the car is so new, nothing will be available for at least 6 months to a year.

I would check these websites every month of so.

www.installer.com - They have a dash kits for the new Eclipse and will probably have something available for the new Lancer in the coming months.

www.crutchfield.com - They always have quality installation parts

UPDATE: In Spring 2008, Scosche will have a installation for the 08 Lancer.

I found a wiring harness! Factory just isn’t for me, as for a mounting kit i found one as well but wont be released for a few weeks. As of right now I’m working on my system. I've got one cerwin vega stroker with a moded mtx class d mono amp from the fellas at car tuners audio and it spanks my stroker. Soon im gonna be hooked up with a touch screen clarion cd player and a second cerwin vega stroker, what can i say i like to bump my music! Ooh honestly the stock door speakers blow, no built in tweeters. The design is clever how every I like my alpine type s speakers

Okay heres the dealy O. The wiring harness is like 15.50 or 16 bucks think it comes in 4 and 6 speaker setups. Note bluetooth will not work with the wire harness. Honestly i'm not sure if the steering wheel controlls will work I don't see why they wouldn't. next the dash kit will be released in about 2 or 3 weeks i do not have a price nor do i know if it will be a one din or two din mounting kit my guess on price is about 50-80 bucks. you can call LB audio in Geneseo New York at this number 1-585-243-2030 and hours are like 9-6 monday-saturday or www.thelbautosound.com
