I will be installing component speakers, xm radio, and eventually amp/sub. I will open a DIY thread and take step by step pics and instruction of my install.

Here's what I got to work with.

CDT Audio 6.5" Component front speakers (300w RMS)
CDT Audio 5.5" Semi Component rears (300w RMS)

Elemental Designs 11Ov.2 Subs (2)
ED Nine2.x Amp for speakers 600w RMS
ED Nine.1 (two) amps for Subs 1200w RMS

Dual 2 12" subs in custom enclosure 1200W
Visonik 800w RMS Amp

I will probably go with 1 of the ED subs with 1 of the Nine.1 amps. Since this is my daily driver I want some trunk space.

Anwyays, DIY coming soon :) as soon as friggin temperature in my garage goes over 25 degrees.

Slap that person in the face please.

edit: regarding your other post about an audio shop trying to charge you $3454.00 please tell me you didn't pay that... If you have no knowledge about cars/price please don't mod.

Can't quite exactly remember my physics here, but I think it should work.
Will it work well? Probably not very.
You will end up splitting the power with the new sub hence you will dampen the amount of wattage you get into everything else including the new sub.

Be careful also to make sure that you new sub can work "under powered".
Speakers and subs will generally have a designated wattage range that the work properly within.
For example your 400watt sub might work within at 100-400watt rage (pulling the numbers outta my arse). So for example if you don't deliver at least 100watts to the sub it might potentially cause damage.
Find out for sure before you put it in, you also have to make sure that you don't under power your stock sub and speakers, that could also cause damage.

If its 400watt RMS then you will underpower it. What is the stock sub? 650w? If it indeed is 650w then u will kill that one too. You basically want an amp with NO less than RMS handling of a sub.

it would not work, the stock amp is already very weak.

its an 8 channel amp powering all speakers together ... 650 w is not RMS.

As explained in other threads.. usually the RMS will cut the max power in half...
so you're looking at 350-400 watts tops RMS for an 8 channel amp.

Divide that out, you probably wouldn't hear anything ;)/

Your dealership must be on crack lol.
Yes it is under the driver's seat and its useless, you can't even adjust the gain on it.

Oh man, if its 650 for 8 speakers lol.. u're crap out of luck. U better off leaving that as an amp for speakers, and connecting a second amp for both subs.
