Can you take a pic of the exhaust close up facing it? I'm noob to this and I wanna get an idea of how much clearance is correct, so when I install mine I do not have any melting issues. :57:

How can the exhaust be moved down so its not so close to the bumper? I just put mine on last week and I can tell its too high.

I had to move my exhaust over to the right just a little because I did have a little melting happen. I spoke with Greddy tech and send them these pictures. He said that it was installed correctly(Thank you xcowboyxbebop your pics helped a great deal once I got under the car!). He also stated that he had not heard of anyone having issues with melting their bumpers so I supplied him with links in this forum where we have talked about this issue. These are after I had everything adjusted to prevent melting. I have driven over 200 miles and I have no issues now. I hope these help. Edit: this is on a 2009 ES-Sport.

Yes I did the install my self. The longest part was getting off the factory exhaust. I think total from the time it took me to gather the tools to actully starting the car up was like 45 minutes.. if that.

haha the screws are on the bottom and you can't see it unless your looking from the bottom. the metal foil is for the heat, temporary until i can do something about the heat. strange how mine is melting if it is the same distance.

Is it possible for you to get me a couple of profile pictures from both the driver side and the passanger said. With the drive side shot get under the car if possible so I can see the whole exhaust.

It looks good to me bro so I don't know what to tell you. Have you taken it to a muffler shop to see what they could do? Maybe they would have some longer hangers or something.

thats usually what ppl do. is get longer hangars, and it should make all the difference or you can just find some other way to make it like half and inch longer to make the exhaust a bit lower

Here's my 2008 ES. I just put this TI-c on about 2 weeks ago.
I couldn't take pics of the whole instal cause i didn't have my camera but its a simple job. The three hangars that are on the stock exhaust are utilized on the new exhaust only reconfigued when you do this remember (the shims can be moved around). If you have any questions give me a shout.

I noticed in the 2nd pic, the rubber hanger closest to the bumper was not put on.
Do you have that on at all?

That seems to be the hanger pulling it close to the bumper, would it be stable w/o it?
It might allow a bit more clearance w/o it.

I just installed mine today and drove about an hour... and wouldn't ya know it...
I have waves in the bumper from melting...

I guess i'll try it out myself and see if it saves my bumper. :crying:
