So no pictures about that one hanger that tucked underneath?

I can't decide over Tsudo or Greddy. The melting is not making me really want that, but you guys say you dont have a problem with that anymore?

Can we find a concrete answer to this heating issue?

Well I haven't received my new hangers yet and I don't think anyone else has either so I would hold out a bit longer until they fix it for sure. Mine isn't melting anymore but it is on kind of crooked and looks a bit silly.

I contacted GReddy today. Here is the IM

MisterStrike2008 (5:40:46 PM): I was wondering if there is a status on the new hangers for the older exhausts for the 2008 lancer to solve the melting issue, can you help?
Greddy tech 2 returned at 5:45:15 PM.
Greddy tech 2 (5:46:51 PM): should be within the next 2 weeks.
Greddy tech 2 (5:46:58 PM): are you currently on the list for it.
MisterStrike2008 (5:55:56 PM): I should be, I contacted Mitch quite a while ago by phone.
Greddy tech 2 (6:09:16 PM): whats the name i can check for u
MisterStrike2008 (6:19:06 PM): (My Real Name)
MisterStrike2008 (6:19:24 PM): (My Address)
Greddy tech 2 (6:20:32 PM): ya you are on there
MisterStrike2008 (6:21:33 PM): Awesome! Thank you for your help!
Greddy tech 2 (6:22:06 PM): no problem

Okay, so in a few weeks if people were to purchase the exhaust it should come with those new hangers or do they also have to request them?

got my Greddy a few days ago and put her on... sounds absolutely boss. by far the best exhaust i've heard on a 4 banger, very very few are not ricey and this is one of them. it is something you always notice... so if you're trying to go the subtle route i would not at all suggest it. bearing that in mind, if you drive light enough on the pedal it becomes a very subtle hum.

HP gain in the mid-high range is fantastic. coupled w/my intake and lightweight pulley the car is really starting to show some thrust at higher RPM's. i had a second yesterday when i was driving and thought to myself wait this is still a lancer right??

install was easy, use a little WD-40 on the hangers and they come off with a lot less muscle and frustration. this thread helped, and i also used this guy's writeup simply b/c it has more pictures Hector @ Streetunit

there were not "new" hangers in my shipment. i did stretch the middle hanger and will probably continue to stretch it for a few days to give a little more clearance between the bumper. right now looking at about 1/2 in but i don't want to take any chances.

So the 1/2" clearance is what the old hangers gave?

What kind of clearance should the new ones give?

Install is very easy. Version 2 has plenty of clearance and no melting even in steaming hot Australia!

Do they sell it with the new hangers?

I'm worried about the melting issue.

I dont blame you for being worried. I got burned and it sucks.
You can contact Crypto and ask him, but I'm pretty sure all the ones w/o the update are out of rotation by now.

So if your still burn'n you could try take'n off the tip on the muffler. its held on with 3 4mm screws. I think they're 4mm, i took mine off a while ago. It gives the thing a whole different look.

hey everyone, I'm from Canada and am planning to pick up the greddy soon. I checked around for prices and online its looking to be around $500 USD shipped which means $600 CDN + custom fees. I looked around local performance shops n i got around $650 which can still be bargained. Does this seem like a ridiculous price?

There's an authorized Greddy retailer i found near me. They said they never heard of melting issues. Do you guys think its the newer updated batch with longer hangers? How long are the newer hangars supposed to be?

I installed my Greddy exhaust yesterday with stock rubber hangers as it did not come with longer hangers. It does not seem to be melting it right now but it might possibly be because it is -20 degrees celsius outside. The sales at the place i got the exhaust said they sold many of these and never heard of the melting issue.

Hopefully everything is fine. If not I can always contact greddy for longer hangers right?

I got my exhaust today. when i went to put it on i had some problems. btw i have a 09 gts m/t.
when i went to take off the mounts i found that only one was bolted on, but the others werent. i ended up grinding off the old exhaust off at the hanger metal.
Ill post a picture when i get home of it. when i went to put the ti-c on i found that i had to move the hangers but they are securely on the car, did i miss something? or am i just special and mitsu decided to change it up? sorry im so vauge but i really wanna know bc right now its hung with the metal hanger tape.
thank you and once again sorry for being so vauge.

I'm just stupid sorry for the post. Got it in after I used wd40 on the hangers

there is two diff greddy exhaust, the Ti-c and the SE. The SE is a lil more expensive than the Ti-c. The SE will run you about $450 or so where the Ti-c is around $400. I think the SE looks a lot better tho because every Ti-c ive seen comes out the back at a angle, and i guess the SE is a lil quieter than Ti-c at cruising speeds from what ive heard.

That's still not too bad for an exhaust. I was looking at the TI-C. I like loud though..but not obnoxious... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/gunsmilie.gif)

like what was said earlier, its loud and strong with a heavy pedal, but with the highway driving i do (2-3000rpm) its not obnoxious.
i love it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/banana.gif)
