QUOTE(MisterStrike @ Jun 5 2008, 11:15 AM)
I still do not have the adapter I need. I am going to my dealer today to see if they can let me copy a couple of files off of the update disk. The way they have screwed me over I don't see why they wouldn't. Seeing is I had to file with the BBB and the AG!
Update: I just got off the phone with my dealer and he said " That disk should have been with your manual. Let me see if I can find you one and you can come pick it up today." Crosses fingers and hopes that he doesn't realize that they are supposed to charge me for it.

Hey MisterStrike, looks like someone beat us to pulling the data off the HDD.
Check it... Otaku is on it as we speak (or post, rather)

UPDATE: I got this up a little premature, there seems to be an issue with the patch, it looks like another file needs to be updated. I will post it as soon as it is available.

Burn to CD and run the update in the Nav.

Make sure to stop by over here
and say thanks to Otaku!

i am a little confused about that too. on the first page of the thread it gives instructions and in those instructions it says to take it out and disconnect the battery and stuff.

is that still necessary? or do we just have to put in a cd now?

Just burn the .iso, and put it in that's all that needs to be done. Works perfectly!

It should actually say "Checking Disk" and then it will ask if you want to run the program. Just hit yes and wait a few minutes. It doesn't take long for it to run.

MisterStrike.......

I really don't know much about computers.

1. Let's see if I am doing this correctly.......click onto your link for the DVD in motion update.

2. Save data

3. I have NERO, so all I do is transfer the data onto a CD-R type disk?

4. Do I have to do anything like rename the file info or anything other than saving the data to the CD-R?

If that is all that I have to do, then I should be good to go, but I need to ask before I pop it into my Navi system.......I really don't want to do anything wrong & screw it up.

After you have the file downloaded open Nero.

Click File

Click Open

Select the MMCS-261UM.iso file

Click Burn

Turn your key into the on position and load the disk

After a few seconds it will ask if you want to update, select yes

Wait about two minutes or so for it to load the update. You will see a progress bar

Once it is complete it will ask you again if you want to load the update, select no

Let your passengers enjoy a movie while you drive!

Thank you very much for the information. Exactly as I asked is how I did it. No file renaming or anything. Just copied the info to a disk. Then I loaded it into the CD tray on my Navi unit & a few minutes later......I GOT VIDEO IN MOTION  :460:  :liebe011:

Thank you MisterStrike
