Mike my choice would be the 996. But (IMG: http://www.fahrcar.com/porsche-993tt.jpg) The 993, 1995-1997 I just absolutely love how the rear fenders are flared and rolled to give the rear of the car that really wide stance. The whole car is part of the updated Porsche look but it is now old enough that in a couple of years will become a classic. And theres plenty of power on hand depending on which model you choose. 390ish to 410ish. and 0-60 times come in 4.2 - 4.5 seconds thanks to All wheeldrive and twin turbos. The 996, 2000 - 2004 (IMG: http://www.croydonracingdevelopments.com/images/Porsche996t20rtm.jpg) The wheels are not stock. (IMG: http://www.auto-journals.com/images/assets/popups/porsche996c21_4.jpg) 420 - 450HP and 3.9 -3.8 0-60 Same concept as the 993 a little newer, This is the Sally Carrera of the 911's. I feel this car will age slower in the style department.Everything is smoother and will not be dated in the next few years. And as for the the driving experience its slightly quieter and smoother on the inside. Now the 997's which are the present model, are going to be out of your price range but damn they are sexy and fast and my GOD I haven't driven one. With 480HP and 0-60 at 3.7 the only 911 that is faster is the GT2 that has 530hp and rockets to 60 in 3.6 seconds. the 996 is a variation of the 911 family. Its the 911 but 996, I still don't understand it. The 924 is a nice car if kept clean. The 944 is to often in the hands of people who don't care and just want to say oooo I have a porsche. or OOOOOoOoO I have a turbo.... Theres a reason its the poor mans 911. I really like the 968 which is basically the Evolution from the 924 928 944 and then came the 968 in the 90's. It was Porsche's last front engine car. I read an article where they compared it to a 996 and they said they were very similar and the that the 996 took a lot of cues from the 968. I would love to have either the 928S with the manual tranny... Uber rare. or a 968 hard top... also very hard to come by as most of them were drop top. (or that might be the other way around I forget.) But also unlike every other model the 968 only has 14 turbo models ever produced. Now alot of people have since built kits but only 14 original turbo S's were ever produced. (IMG: http://vista.pca.org/stl/968turbo.jpg) Turbo model. You can tell by the huge spoiler and the naca ducts on the hood. (IMG: http://www.sikhworld.co.uk/Porsche%20images/My%20968.jpg) Best color. (IMG: http://www.ssip.net/upload/porsche-968-front-1_193.jpg) Cabriolet For you Mike
