got my car back from the muffler shop on thursday and it sounds sooooooo good. HKS Carbon-Ti muffler with custom built 3" 304 stainless steel piping. it sounds amazing and u can actually feel a HP gain. anyone wanting an exhaust for their Ralliart should really consider going custom.

there was a del sol in there getting an exhaust built. Dual'd out. 3" piping. quad tips. no boost. $1200 on this exhaust. doesn't freeing it up that much actually do more harm than good?

It started back with the old muscle car guys, some say it will mess up your valves some say more crazy stuff like you'll burn up piston rings etc etc. I personally have ran open exhuasts on everything from a ford probe 24valve v6 to a honda civic d16 to a 302 mustang... every car handled it differently, the civic lost alot of bottom end power but seem to pick up a little more up in the RPMS and in the end ran a faster 1/4 mile time. The mustang handled it the best but was also a higly modded engine.... all cars backfired especially coming down in RPMS.. so i mean take it for what you will... I've never had any mechanical problems from doing it personally
