My '02 Galant has been having problems with the heater. It would take a week for it to come on and it has been getting longer and longer. Just before it starts blowing heat I hear a noise from under the dash. Well finally it's been about 3 weeks and it has failed to come on so I took it in to a Mechanic today. He said it was the Heater control Actuator which opens and closes the door. They're fixing it tomorrow morning hopefully it works cuz it's getting cold outside. :)
