Swapping out the hacked MAS for a clean one from an 80k mile car fixed my problems beautifully. The car runs better now than it ever did with the damaged MAS. Balance shaft removal not-withstanding, the car runs smooth as silk now; accelerating, decelerating, cruising, boosting, doesnt matter, my GSX is running brilliantly. So, a new MAS might be something to look into.

Yeah that sounds like a Misfire and you engine cant retard enough. CHeck your plugs for sure , make sure the gap is right and that they arent dirty, Even if they look " okay" change them out with some NGK iridium anyways. I bet that will improve the symptoms. If the plugs are dirty or heavelly scorched then you probably jus thad your sensor go out.

Change the plugs and wires. Do not reuse anything.

This guy told me to check my plugs and wires...I didnt believe him at first either... turned out my wires were bad. If it doesn't work just wipe em off, put em back in the box, and take them back.... nothing to loose before spending 200 on the sensor...

I can not even begin to tell you how many posts I have where I have said

"Plugs and Wires"

I think with the exception of zero I was correct the rest of the times.

My ego is big.

And smack your boyfriend for me. and if your near Jersey and want to grab a drink let me know because any girl that knows what a spark plug WIRE is, is worth meeting!

Listen to this guy... he speaks the truth of wires and boyfriends, both deserving of replacement.

Ditto Addie... if your near PA anywhere hit me up for dinner and drinks.

follow your engine codes. it's telling you the MAS or injectors are bad. If it was a spark issue it would just say, "Cylinder # misfire"

replace the one in the front on the o2 housing or check the wires. why are you using an external gate on an evo III?

use the stocker. but have it ported to 34mm so you have better control and don't boost creep.

or you could use a bullseye stainless housing. better flow and already has the 34mm flapper. plus you never have to worry about it cracking cause its stainless.
