Hello.

Looking for car insurance and wondering who people use on here.
I've done the usual comparison sites and elephant etc and to be honest i think £260 for 31 year woman no points accidents (touch wood) and 1 add driver is expensive.

Cheers for any info.

Helen.

Helen,

£260 is quite a reasonable Fully Comp quote. Depends exactly on things like voluntary excess, uninsured losses cover, courtesy cars, etc. I got a quote of about £250 from Bullseye / Swinton, but that was for very high excess and no uninsured loss cover.

I have tried those insurance search sites and found that they can not beat my current insurer, Directline. But they are not even listed on these comparison sites as they do not use middlemen who take a cut of the cost.

I eventually got it down to £216 with nationwide underwritten by churchill.
Pretty impressed with it.
Directline were not very good for me though but it does come down to so many factors it crazes me lol.
