Hey all. Was wondering if any of you could help me....I recently purchased a used 2004 Montero Sport Limited imported from the U.S. and it came with only 1 key from the previous owner.

I am from the Philippines and was wondering if any of you could suggest to me how to go about getting a set of duplicate keys with the transponder coded into my car. The key I have does not have the key number, so I don't know how i'll be able to order it from Mitsubishi. What are my options? If I provide the engine/chassis no. to an authorized dealer in the U.S., would this help? Our local Mitsubishi dealer in the Philippines can't seem to help me.

Thanks and I appreciate any suggestions.

In the uk main dealer can provide key solely with VIN. Cant see this being any different in the states, only problem may be proof of ownership.
