Does anyone know how to reset the display that shows the "miles to empty" for the gas? Sometimes if you don't fill up enough or if the sensor in the tank gets too low, it has to be reset.

The dealer did it a long time ago and I thought I wrote it down somewhere but now I can't find it.

The owner's manual shows how to reset the compass but there's more to what you have to than reset the compass I believe.

Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

Thank you!

1st...With key in off position, push and hold the "DISP" button. 2...While continuing to hold down button, turn the ignition to ACC position. Keep holding the "DISP" button until you hear a beep tone which will last for about 10 secs. You should see the display "Start to check the system. Please turn the ignition key to the on position. 3...Turn ignition switch to "ON" position to start the system-connection-check. 4...Wait for approx 8 secs. The system will give a beep signal. When the connection is completed, the "completed the system connection" message will be displayed. After this, you will need to reset the compass. It will give onscreen instuctions. Hope you get it!

One thing that has always worked for me is making sure that I put atleast 6 gallons of gas in when I fill up. That has always worked for me. Hope it helps!

Hey thanks a LOT!!! for this information. I have been looking all over the Internet for it. Just tried it and it worked great.

My dealer has charged me in the past for resetting this. Now I can do it myself!

Hopefully I can help someone else out someday...

Dan
