HEy guys... Im having a dilemma ..MY 2003 LANCER ES'' 2.0 has just been completely robbed and had EVERYTHING in my car stolen... my Entire system...subs, dvd player, amp, ipod, nav system, the whole rig pretty much.... So after I got a couple checks from the INSurance company's I have re-built my system, but have yet to install it yet.... FIRST off I got 2 ALPINE type X 12'' subs... alpine 9887 deck, and a Rockford Fosgate POWER T20001BD mono amp.. that really pushes 2350watts RMS.... So with the following info... I knew i NEEEDED an electrical upgrade.... So therefore I Have purchased an OPTIMA yellowTop Battery... And It took me FOREVERRRR to find a HIGH OUTPUT ALTERNATOR ... I was told that I needed it to be between A 150-200 AMP Alterntor .... 2 places could do it PERIOD.. after looking long and hard on the internet .... one company wanted $599 for a 220Amp Alt.... and another place wanted $350 for a 175-185amp ALT .... So I took the better deal and go the 175a-185a ALT .... Is my car suitable to just do a standard Bolt in install on my ALTERNATOR>???? Is there any other kind of wiring I need to do?? I have already put the battery in .... I also have a ported box for my two 12'' type X's ... I was also wondering If I shoud just get a Custom box made.... But This Fosgate POWER amp is HUGEE... and throwing 2 of these ENORMOUS! type X's in the trunk to... If I got a Custom Box How would I be able to ACCESS my SPARE TIRE and JACK?? Is that even possible????

so my questions are pretty much

A).. AM I set to just install everything already as it is?
B ).. If not... What else kind of (wiring/electrical) upgrade should I do to run MY
High OUTPUT 175-185AMp ALT with my car withough there being any
system overloads or shortage...or pretty much w.out screwing my
electrical system??
C).. SUB BOx...... By getting a custom box, and fitting these 2 subs, weighing over 30lbs each sub, and a huge amp thats 2'5'' X 14'' ... can i fit that all in there with my spare tire & jak being accessible? or should I just stick with my factory dual 12'' ported box??

ANY kind of info would REALLLYYYY help guys and would be GREATLY aappreciated.... thx for readin & listenin so lett me know...

NO. you HAVE to do what is called the big 3 wiring upgrade when you have a high output alternator. http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_...~TID~73496~PN~1
i would suggest doing it int 1/0 wire. overkill is good in the big 3. make sure all your power wires are fused. make sure you have good grounds. and get a box built to the spec of the subs. in a prefab you are limiting the sub potential.

Haha what part did you not get? well I understand if you are Naive to this subject you wouldnt have a clue what im talking about...because otherwise it makes perfect sense , though id say besides maybe 3-4 words that I have abbreviated may confuse you, even though they were the correct abbreviations... But yah... The big 3 upgrade is OLD news... did that to my car last year having it run with my old system.... Im just pretty much wondering what kind of wiring upgrade (ALTERNATOR to POWER) I would need to do in this situation .... but I understand that when it comes to Alterntors and other electrical necessities that are needed under the hood of a car, some ppl are just stuck in the dark with their thumb up their **** having no clue what anybodys talking about..

No the part I don't get it how you capitalize every other word and don't punctuate decently. It is unreadable, and I can't decifer it. I'm definately not naive, I've been doing this stuff for years.
