Has anyone changed frong/rear speakers themselves, or seen someone do it?
I cant figure out what to use in place of the plastic adapter that stock speakers are built into. I'm down to my last resort to actually cut the circles out of wood but thats too much friggin work. W/e happened to old cars, take stock out, put aftermarket in. crap

hey dude

i just recently changed the rear speakers for some kicker ones, one problem your probley gunna have with changing the speakers is not mounting them, is getting enough power. The kicker ones arnt as loud as my old stock ones, although they are clearer i still have to get an amp for them.

The speakers i got came with a ridged cardboard spacer and i mounted the speaker in that and drilled new holes and everything fit fine. You can fit virtuley any depth speaker in the lancer with a good spacer because the space between the speaker door pannel and the acutal frame is huggeee.

Hope that helped
