USAA is great! Love the rebate at Christmas time. So are you a brat or a service member? I'm an Army brat.

Canada/Alberta here.
Paying roughly 3000/yr for full coverage.

Mostly due to my age, collision alone is over 1600.
Should go down by much when I turn 25.

**** bro! Thats quite an amount. I'm paying about $2500 for the year, full coverage. I'm 23 and never been insured before either. Although thats after factoring in a discount from Meloche Monnex for APEGGA members I believe. Who are you going to for insurance?

We switched to military insurance and are paying around 94 dollars a month for full coverage on 2 cars. It also includes renters insurance on our home.

When we had Geico we were paying nearly 400 bucks a month, and come to find out they had dropped us from full to liability b/c when my hubby got in a wreck they said " OH U WERE SUPPOSED TO HAVE AN INSPECTION DONE AT THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR...SOOO VERY SORRY WE DROPPED YOU DOWN TO LIABILITY" We were paying the same amount and everything... they just did it to get out of paying for his accord when it was wrecked....needless to say, I don't advise having Geico...we got stuck paying off the remaining 3k and had to buy another car as well

I was actually trying to find that out the other day. But the guy I was talking to didn't give me any numbers.
He said there are a lot of factors.
Such as the clean record, the type of vehicle etc.

But what we're getting raped on is the collision which on a brand new vehicle for young people is ridicules.

I don’t really have the knowledge or authority to say for sure what the difference would be. But I would expect at least $1000, that’s what I’m hoping for anyway.
But a clean record does help for sure, so take er easy out there.

I’ve been “nice” for a while here but I still have one ticket that will stay on my record for the next 2.5 years. Apparently they keep the record for 3 years, at least in Canada they do. Or more specifically Alberta, not sure what the other provinces do.

What insurance companies do you guys use??? I want to avoid the 300+ a month payments. The only companies i can think of are allstate, geico, and progressive. USAA wont cover me because im not in the military nor is anyone in my family. Ill check out state farm right now though.. i overlooked the 59 a month post wit state farm.

geico sux.....if you get in an accident they will do EVERYTHING to get our of paying it....even make up crap to not have to pay it.....

I would suggest that as soon as your rate goes down with other insurance groups, you should switch.
