QUOTE(SixFeetDeep @ Mar 1 2008, 12:12 PM) playboyfoyalife: I called to double check my rate & it was actually $347 every 6 months...not bad! BUT....after informing my agent that I would be now driving the car about 20K a year, my rate will be going up. New price will be still only $377 every 6 months. If I was to only drive it 7500 miles or less a year like I used to do....it would remain @ $347 Tellin ya all....it really pays to be ticket & accident free. By having that...I am saving 20%+ off of my bill every 6 months. That plus I have home owners insurance, life insurance, multi-car discount & a couple of other things with State Farm. I have been really happy with them. Been with them for 20 years +. So again....I am showin my age here :57: Sorry....I had to repost this I can't believe what the insurance people are chargin everyone! Man.....stay outa trouble with no accident or tickets & watch how quickly your rated will drop. FYI....I am still only paying $347 every 6. not the $377 as I said before. Guess they don't want my extra $30

I'm paying $578 every six months....but its hard to compare to others if you dont know what kind of coverage they have and the coverage limit amounts. I get a discount for having home owners as well, I have $500 deductable with full glass and almost the highest coverage you can get in each catagory. I have almost the highest coverage I could get to protect myself from being sued and losing my house or something because I didnt have enough coverage. I also have an accident and a ticket in the last 3 years, so $1156 a year is not bad, but I'm also shopping around right now as I think I can get it cheaper. I'm with state farm right now. The companies who say switch and save money usually just lower your coverage amounts to save you on your bill, so be careful of that, because if you get sued for a million in a accident you could be in deep doo doo cause you dont have enough coverage. I know someone who got sued for a million, lost their cars, house, ruined their life. Also my ex girlfriend was my insurance agent so she hooked me up and showed me the horror stories too of people who were under insured.
