i have read some literature on how powerful my engine is and everyone can see the stats of a turbo charger kit, but nothing compares to driving my car and the way they drive after turbo kits are installed. I have always loved the turbo release sound and the feel of a turbo spooling up. but i own the 2.4l ES AUTOMATIC! i wont really have a release sound and it wont be as fas as a turbo v6. i LOVE the way she looks and i think she has great potential as far as tuner cars go. but my real concern is, do i really want to turbo charge and tune every part of my 4 cylinder engine, or buy a turbo engine, or even just get another car that has a faster base to work on. i'm a little confused as for my next step, and i feel like i really need to make a decision, so i can save, look and plan for the future. what do you all think, im really lookin for some insight~

I havent seen any TURBO kits for the 4g64 but there are supercharger kits for it. money provided i would but a charger (of some kind) on the 4g64. its a reasonably low compression motor that has a great low end. its gonna be spendy no matter which way you go and if this is your daily driver you're gonna be without a running car for a while. your choice

i haven't seen any kits available either, but i figure where there is a will, theres a way. i don't necessarily need to buy a KIT, i can always piece one together with all the necessary parts. and im not against a super charger kit, its just i always heard that a supercharger always did better on a v8 than a 4 banger. i was thinking charger of any kind. i was really wondering whether the power output was worth the money for the charger, or should i put that hard earned money into a whole new faster start car.

oh and here is a link as how to turbo charge the 4g64, its the same engine in the spyder gs.... thus making it about the same fitting parts needed to turbo it.

oh is it hard to turn my galant es automatic into an es manual? thanks

hell yeah! im sure that kit will probably do me just fine...might need to change a few of the piping around, due to the size difference. but thanks! but what do you think i should do as far as charging my engine any kind of way, or should i just buy a cobra mustang? i love mustangs about as much as i do my galant, but for twice the cost of the turbo i can buy a cobra with manual, outputting the same amount of power, granted its heavier but at least id have a more powerful base, then possibly supercharge that! but from what i hear from just about everyone, the 4g64 i have is great for turbo-ing(i think) due to its already low compression. maybe ill do both, what do you think?

well it all depends on what you like. I personally am a mustang only kind of guy, and im putting an 88mm turbo on my car right now and building a built motor and i should be looking at 800hp on pump gas and 1000hp on c16. It all depends on your preferences. But from the looks of the kit it should be a complete bolt on deal.
