I've got a 1997 3.5 V6 GDI (jap import). I bought it in sept 07 in Mozambique. It started giving problems immediately. 3 months and as many mechanics later, i decided to remove the computer and send to South Africa for a test.
That was the problem. I bought a new computer, but now it seems there's another problem.

It looks like there are some electrical cables and/or plugs missing, by the engine. There are at least 2 plugs which i can see was in use since recently, but nowhere to plug in.

Does anybody know where i can get schematics or plans for the electrical wiring around the engine ?
I've already spent $3000 on inept mechanics and unnecessary parts. I'm not allowed to tow this vehicle over the border and are at my wits end.

I have the same year and model as you and can appreciate your frustration. I don't have a specific electrical diagram for you but may be able to help with pics etc of the engine bay. I think I still have one in my profile but it would have the plastic engine shround installed hiding most of the connections. Let me know what you are after and I'll see if I can help.

Thanks for the advice Jim. Tiago has called me and I'm going over to him to take pictures of his engine. I need to look at the wiring under the cover.

Hopefully it will be sorted out soon.
