with all my experience, thats not a single bit true, and sounds increadibly stupid. speakers run off of 2 wires, all speakers, subs, door speakers, or dash ones. all run off of a possitive/negative wire. get into your door/back speakers, pull the old ones out and put the new ones in, easy day. probably take 5 minutes (not including pulling the car parts off) but litteraly, cut or remove the stock speakers from the 2 wires coming to them, and put the same wires on the new ones. and best buy sucks by the way! i hate them, maybe its just one personal experience, but worst deal/buy ever made! if you want quality, go to a speaker shop, and they'll hook you up! or just buy them yourself and do it yourself (cheapest way)

Well, you'll need a mono amp for you subwoofer and a 4channel amp for the speakers, or a 6channel one if you have i.e: speakers in front doors+rear doors+rear seats.

All this could be done by yourself without a problem, even with a stock radio. Some compagnie gives RCA-2-Speakers wires for stock(OEM) Radios, for those who doesnt have aftermarket radios, so, basicly, you can get amps working on stock radio if they doesnt have rca outputs.

Going to a Speaker shop could be the bes tthing to do if you feel unsafe.. usually it's like 30 to 40$/hour of work(40CND), this shouldnt take more than 1 hour to do, with a greate job, OEM wired(nothing shows off).

Good luck
