yay first post lol.

well since you dont really seem to know too much about performance mods (no problem with that i know nothing at all about that stuff but correct me if i'm wrong) you should probably start with simpler things like you mentioned such as rims, tinted windows, HIDS, maybe LED tailights and different color tail light lenses like smoked or clear.

Exhaust and intake are an easier performance mod to make that will add a little horsepower like maybe 7-10 on average, so you should look into that. I saw that you mentioned turbos and honestly I think a turbo isn't a good idea. Yea it would be awesome but thats a lot of money put into the car. And if you're 19 like me theres a lot of other things money like that could go into. Besides you never wanna go all out into a car from the start unless you got 10g to waste or something.

Now on to insurance and such. Basically being so young and a guy you're not going to get a good rate sorry to be so blunt lol. I've researched several cars with every company i can think of and not just the online quotes, i actually went to the building to talk with an agent. They all pretty much came back at about $2200 - $2800 every six months. Although i do have 3 speeding violations, only one I had to report and the second I haven't even had the court date yet so without any violations you're only looking at a minimal difference in rates. You could try just being an insured driver under your parents policy if they let you.

And lastly, about actually financing the car look at different companies like credit cards that also finance cars. A lot of times as a new driver these places will give you a better fixed rate than the dealership will.
