Hi peoples, I'm new here and was wondering if someone could help. It all started with a broken fan belt which I replaced. During this process, I must have knocked the HT Lead from the Ignition coil. It was corroded to buggery, but still worked enough to drive it around the block. The next day I bought a new Ignition coil and HT Lead set. I swapped the coil, undoing the small plug next to it (reattaching it after finishing) I then swapped the HT leads one at a time to get the order correct. It was hard to reach, so I removed the Distributor cap to ensure a good lead fit as well as the small plug next to it. I removed a small amount of corrosion within the cap as well as the coil lead socket. Putting it all back together, it won't start. I've since put all the original components back in and it still won't start. I ran the battery flat, so tried another charged one and it still won't start. One post has had a similar starting problem which ended up being a distributor cap problem. Can someone let me know the lead order (to check) on the dizzy cap and also the engine clinder order. (I'm presuming the engine is 1,2,3,4 from left to right). A photo would be nice if possible. Thanks
Pete
