My wife bought a shogun pinin in 2004. within a year we had a new gear box and since then we have had numerous problems. In sept 2005 the 1st front exhaust pipe blew a hole and 15 months, 7 exhausts and an engine mount later we still have a problem !!!!
I have emailed the Managing Director of Mitsubishi UK and they took the car away for a month and have come back to stay that the exhaust system was mis aligned and the catalytic converter was an inch lower than it should be and putting pressure on the front down pipe........can anybody help please as i feel that I am being fobbed off as it had been back to the mitsubishi garage 7 times over 15 months- surely this could have been diagnosed earlier if that simple.....does anybody have any advice or know of any other pinin exhaust system problems?

just put in a performance high flow cat-back exhaust in and you will no longer have a high pressure exhaust and it will also lower the temperature of the gases escaping from your motor because you will not have a lot of back pressure. done and done.
