Hi all,
I'm new here and have a big problem i need some help with.

My V6 TS was leaking oil from the oil cap for a couple of days with out much drama. Then all of a sudden it decided to start spewing oil out of the front rocker cover.

I spoke to a mechanic and was told to clean the PCV and replace the hose. I did this as well as take the front rocker cover off and clean out the elbow pipe on top which was completely blocked.

After doing this I restarted the car (after the ultra blue on the gasket had set) and took it for a short drive. Yet my engine is covered in oil that is forcing out the front rocker.

I think that the elbow pipe on the back rocker cover is also blocked but i don't know how to get this off for cleaning with out pulling everything apart.

As I live 1/2 hour drive from the nearest town (ballarat) and have two young kids I need to find a way to get this fixed asap.

Can anyone tell me how to get the rear rocker cover off with out taking my engine apart?

Thanks in Advance
Sarah

the leak is a common problem om the V6

there is a post about the same oil leak you have

http://www.mitsubishiclubaustralia.com/for...opic.php?t=4581

found it ...in this forum there are mitsubishi members from ballerat

you turn the cap tight on then back it of a fraction this seals the cap the the rocker

the inlet manifold at the back is a large vent pipe and takes a lot to block it off

so I wouldnt be concerened about that back pipe

to reach the rear rocker cover or do any work / say a new rocker gasket/pipes
the inlet manifold has to be undone
