After functioning perfectly for 3 years, my CD changer no longer will play certain burned CD's, mainly if I labeled them with Lightscribe! I get Error 02. Anybody ever hear of that? Any ideas?
Thanks.
thats because your deck itself has to be able to read certain disks. there are a few different kinds. first of all if its a CD-R its a recordable CD. it will read these just fine. if its a CD-RW its a re-writteable CD, meaning: you can record then erase then record. stock decks and most CD changers won't read these unless it is a part of a premium sound package like a infinity system or a bose system, and even then its not a certainty. also if you have a CD-R that has MP3 songs written on it your not gonna be able to read these that was the problem with my stock deck and i think i read error code 5 or something like that. the CD changer won't read MP3 files. definitely not a CD-RW with MP3 files on it. you can also have songs in file type of WAV the type your CD changer will read. so here it is: WAV File music on a CD-R good, anything else baaaaad, o.k.?
and your welcome.
p.s. i can't believe you ran a stereo 3 years without mixing cd-r's and cd-rw's or wav files and MP3 files. if this is not the reasoning then you need to have your laser eye replaced. which costs more than its worth so just buy a new deck.
