I'm pretty sure u could get a universal filter.

That's weird, they sell them here in Sydney.. at least that's what I've been told by some of the spare parts shops in the area.

yes, your only drop in filter choice right now is stock mitsubishi or works. No other company makes a filter yet.

Why does the K&N website suggests 33-2074 as air filter for Lancer 2008?
I really don't wanna pay $129 for the Works air filter.
Anyone has tried 33-2074?
Is there an universal K&N air filter that might fit a 2008 Lancer?

AFAIK the only options so far were Works and some other brand with a foam one.
Works being so expensive $129, not too many people tried it, but it is supposed to be good.
The foam one, I wouldn't trust it.

I would be happy if K&N had the same performance as Works, at less than half the price of Works.

The foam one is from HKS, but I'm more interested in their cat-back exhaust than their filters.

K&N filters have always been tried and true performers. I tell everybody I know to switch to K&N filters and all of them said the same thing... "The car idles better, I can feel the car is performing better, and I get better mileage!"

I'd trust my life with K&N... and since my car is my life, it all works out!

100% real. I've been following the topic on 4B11Lancers for some time, but I just gave up. It basically turned into a bunch of people going on and on about when they were going to release the intake.

It'll come out when it comes out.

Hopefully this summer, because K&N are the only intakes I trust.

Well, they do have a 1 year lowest price guarantee but ironically it only works when you find lower prices at other stores not the very same store where you had bought it in the first place. :laughing:

I e-mailed them though hoping I might get something back ... who knows, maybe a recharger kit.
