hey guy's thort this would be a good place to get a lil info.
iv got a 1991 mitsubishi gto
MOD's
TD 04 15g turbos
750cc injectoors
fuel pressure regulator
fuel rall upgrade etc:
problem i got is the fuel pump?
all i see is the wilbro 255 high pressure pump but from what iv red im sure the turbo can hadle more HP than that pump so there for im looking for a supra fuel pump, now' iv been looking at other ppl's cars and this seems to be the option i should go for with the 15g's if i go with the wilbro 255 i can only see my self upgrading befor long.
please let me know.. if you know what your going on about that is..
what you think on this?
15g's BHP exspectancy? wilbro 255 BHP exspecency? also where would i get the sura pump and dos it just fit as a direct replacment for the stock pump?
i only ask this becouse i keep seeing the supra pump but no explanation on if its a direct replacment or where i should go to get one....... if you can help ill be a happy chappy:-) p.s sorry about the spelling im english haha:-P

first of all, 750cc injectors are way too big for 15g's. Get rid of those, and get some 550cc or even 650cc injectors. warlbro fuel pump is good. warlbro and supra fuel pump are similar enough. and the warlbro is more than enough for a 15g set-up. Worst case, you just hotwire it, and it's WAY more than plenty for what you have.

As far as the life expectancy of both... they'll outlast your use of them, if you maintain your car, and make sure it's tuned properly.

one question how can 750cc injectors be way to big?
thay will only pump the fuel i tell them to so whats the problem?
thanks for the replay on the wilbro tho...
but you stil dident answer my question on y the wilbro would be better and y not the supra one? willbro is 255cc supra one is lke 310cc or somthing like that.
ok have a look at this site'
http://www.import-power.com/3squicklist/dyno.html
theres a guy here running TD-04 15G (x2) @ 22psi and getting 471.7 ALHP
and theres a guy even gettin 485.9AWHP now i know suportin mods have a big part to play to but will the willbro fuel pump be able to handel that sort of pawer?
i mean can the wilbro 255cc deal with pumping that much fuel to exspect to see them sort of resalts?

Exactly right, I have dynoed many 13g and 15g cars and they will run best with 550cc injectors. You want to shoot for running 80% injector duty cycle. The last car we did for instance was a 99 VR4 with bpu, 15gs, fmic, SAFC, 660cc injectors, and a walbro 255 pump. We had to take out 40-45% of the fuel, so the injectors were only running 55-60% idc.

A walbro is plenty, a supra pump costs more and is more of a pain to install because its much bigger than the walbro.

The 15g's aren't big enough for 750cc injectors. They are harder to tune because you need to "correct" them too much for your needs. the 3/S's are running 9's with 750cc injectors, you do not need them. Bigger is NOT ALWAYS BETTER.

Toddrs answered the fuel pump question pretty well.

For our cars, with the injectors, figure thats how much horsepower you should be making... 550cc injectors... 500-550 crank horsepower (which is about 470'ish awhp), 650cc injectors, 600-650 crank horsepower. Ideally, 550cc injectors. If you want to leave yourself wiggle room, if you ever decide to upgrade to a slightly bigger turbo (17g's or evo 3 16g's), then 650cc injectors will be alright. But 750's are WAY overkill.

I think the 550's and walbro pump, you will be happy.

I assume you have the other supporting mods as well. You should have no problem getting mid 400awhp :) You will REALLY enjoy your car!!

if your wondering y i dont want to exeed 450 awhp is because iv converted my awd to full time RWD.
iv had it for 4 months now with no problems what so ever.. we found out that the first thing to brake was the tranfer box if you run to much bhp
we tested the tranfer box and found it broke at at around 514 bhp.
this is y i realy want 450 and yes i have all the suporting mods...
and if your one of thos ppl who say it dont work dont bother writing a reply iv herd it all befor and proved so many ppl wrong..
iv set the car up to be the first full time RWD drift spec: gto in the uk and so far im very happy.... with the convertion its self i added 30% more pawer to the car but the 1/4 time will drop a lil if you do this mod this is simply because your do not get the traction of the AWD system.
my car now loves going sideways and its the most fun iv ever had out of the 3000gt.
if your intrested in the whole idea have a look on youtube and seach' (3000gt/mitsubishi gto drift) my user name on there is redgargle' one vido is just pictures of the body work and spray job i done and the other video is of the RWD working.....i have yet to make a full drift video but it will be coming soon...... thanks for all your help im going to go with the 255 wilbro and the 550cc injectors.... thanks again

bigger isn't always better. The injectors should be run at a certain percentage. And for the power you'll be making, and what you're looking to do, a walbro fuel pump and 550cc injectors is a perfect match for the 15g turbos. I have virtually that exact set-up on my car.

These cars have run almost 9 second flat runs on 750cc injectors on GINORMOUS turbos. You do NOT NEED that much fuel flow.

hey mate i need some help' i got a problem, as you know iv put the new 15g's on the car, and as yet have no other mods sept the filter and boost regulator' exorst etc: iv got standard injectors and standrd fuel pump at the moment.....and iv got to car set to standard boost so is not to over boost. well heres the problem i got now, today i took it out for its first long test drive and for the first hour or so it was a ok' when i floord it the car it was fine all thru the revs.
i got back home left the car sitting for like 2 hours and when i went to start her again she started fine but when i reved it there seemed to be nothing there i took its time to pick up the revs, anyways i left it running for a bit and it cleard its self so i took the car back out and it ran fine when driving normaly but now when i toe it it has the same sort of effect as over bost like with the holding back etc and farting, now i know its defo not over boost iv totaly shut off my bleed valve so its running standard boost but yet it still dos it.
funny thing is befor i put the new engine in the old engine done the exact same thing' not' the over boosting kinda thing but when i went to start it befor with the old engine in it done it to.. now that only happend like once a week maybe so now its got me to thinking its maybe the fuel filter?????????? its the only thing i can think of beeing as its happend on two difrent engines now.. if i go out there now and start it it will be fine to start and drive but i know when i toe it it will hold back....i know im not over boosting have you any idea on what it could be? fuel filter?as it dont look like its been changed in a while.....or could it be that the bigger turbos have to have a good intercooloing system on then??????remeber tho i am running at normal boost most i would say is about 0.5 bar at the moment. iv been over all my vacum hoses and all my pipes etc: the fuel filter is the only thing i can think of. oo and iv done a diagnostic on her to and it comes back with no probs what so ever. one last thing i here a whining noise in the car sometimes almost like a loud fuel pump but its not coming from anywhere near the pump its self' i dont thinkk thats anything to do with the problem but its just well buggin me now........if you could halp that would be grate, ps sorry about the spelling.
