Did i miss something? Why would they recall our cars?
Haha, it might be because I said something in another thread on the lines of "I wouldn't be surprised if they did a recall"... I only said that because I believe the manual transmission is faulty and I nearly got smoked at an intersection casue it wouldn't pop into second gear.
That's something that can be fixed though, and they WILL be fixing it cause I don't wanna die.
Now if they would in fact recall our Lancers I do believe in a situation like that they would be replacing them with new vehicles. But that would depend what the recall would be based on, if it was missing a bolt in a frame where it should have been bolted, or a weld or something they would probably just fix it and return the vehicle.
Just like the situation with the relays or the unsafe rear doors which pop open on impact that in fact were fixed with after the first production line (or somewhere around that time). I mean the doors were fixed, I dunno why they didn't fix the relay, probably didn't find out about it till recently.
But by the way things are going with these cars I can see more issues popping up every now and then... as unfortunate as it is that's just how she rolls. They (and I don't only mean Mitsubishi) want to get new cars out there, so they do. And if they are faulty then they're SOL and have to fix the issues as they happen...
But if there are things mechanically wrong with the car (i.e. the m/t) and they're persistent through all vehicle they will HAVE to do a recall. But I'm not saying that's true and is going to happen.
