So i've sorta been posting this, but about a week ago, my car crapped out on me and i thought it was the fuel pump. Well half way through testing my fuel pump and replacing the filter, my plugs and wires FINALLY arrived. So i put them in. By pure accident i found out that cylinders 3 and 2 were not firing (the two on the far right). Anyhow, i replaced the coil today and double checked everything.

Cylinders 2 and 3 are still not firing at all. WTF!?!?! i replaced plugs, wires, and coils... What else would prevent the plugs from firing? ik that the coil on the left are sending any power to the wires but not the new coil on the right, bc when i disconnect the wires from the coil on the right there are no sparks, but on the left, there are. Therefore the left two cylinders are getting a spark, and the right two aren't. I am so confused... any help?? please?

uhhh it took about an hour and a half to get that coil out... ****...

Anyhow, if the cylinders that weren't firing on the new coil fire on the good coil, im assuming the coil i bought was bad. What if they don't fire?

EDIT: And it would be cylinders 1 and 3 not firing, the coil on the right. Wrote that up wrong.

You can do that? if i were to swap wires 1 and 3 onto the other coil, wouldn't i be opening a whole new can of worms? I am under the assumption that cylinders 1 and 3 would then be firing at the time 4 and 2 should be.

So just an update and a bump

I took the coils out again, swapped them so that the the one that i know is good is on the right, and the new one is on the left. Well guess what? The coil that i know is good that is on the right will not spark, but the new one on the left will.

So its not the coils.

What the HELL else could it be!?!?!? Cam position sensor? Power transistor????

Neither of these make sense tho because if the cam position sensor went bad, i wouldn't be getting any spark at all right? and the power transistor supplies power to BOTH coils. So both coils wouldn't be getting a spark.

I AM SO CONFUSED!!!
