hey all,

just some general enquiries about the MIVEC adjustable cam system,

does anyone know the differences between the MIVEC adjustable cam system and an aftermarket adjustable cam system?

as my mate is wondering if its worth putting an engine into his lancer that already has the MIVEC system, or to go with a cheaper engine, and get an aftermarket adjustable cam system?

as we have heard that the MIVEC is hard to work with...........

can anyone shed some light on this for me?

cheers,

I've never heard of an aftermarket adjustable cam system.

I wouldn't mess with any adjustable cam system, but that's just me. If I were to swap another engine into my car, I would install an engine with dual cams.
