Does it actually cut out at 100 or does it just seem to stop accelerating?

(I've never had this problem with my GST)

Yeah, an electronic or any other kind of limiter will stop the car at say 100 and it will like cut the engine and bounce down to like 95, then start accelerating back up to 100.

There is no cut, you just don't have enough power.

You should still go faster than that..... right everybody? I hope so because I had a '97 mazda 626 with the 4 cylinder and it was a standard; I could hit the limiter at 110 pretty darn quick.

Ive had my stock 96 GS manual doing 125 i dont know how many times.

As someone said before normally a limiter would make it cut off slow down and then when it dropped a certain amount it would speed back up. I asked a similar question to this a while ago. From what people had said when i asked the question the autos are just slower.
