Hey everyone, I need to know if anyone knows how much psi a stock 4g94 engine can hold before it goes boom. My wild guess would be around 10-12. Haven't been able to find this info anywhere so i would appreciate the help.

To preserve the engine for long term, run no more than 6psi.

You would be right... but this, as has been said, depends on the turbo. The 4g94 is good for about 6psi non intercooled. About 9 psi intercooled. Up to 12 with forged pistons and rods.

The rods are the weak point of this engine and will need to be upgraded if you want to push past 12psi. The strongest 4g94s are pushing 19psi and running about 310whp.
