Hello-

I bought my '02 Galant GTZ back in april 2007 (had 38,000 miles on it, looks brand new) and I quickly noticed that whenever I put fuel into my gas tank, the fuel gauge needle is very slow to move towards F, and sometimes takes 5-10 mintues to finally reach the appropriate level. Is this common with all 8g galants, or is it an isolated issue I'd have to take a closer look at?

It's not that big of a deal for me, but I'm slightly concerned about the accuracy of the gauge when I fill up or when I'm low on gas. Thanks for your help!

P.S. Long time reader, first time poster. This forum is what I've been looking for for my auto needs!

My 01 Galant takes a while to register the added fuel. Maybe it measures an average over time.. if you were throwing the car about it would read lower because the fuel splashing up the sides would leave the sensor lower in the tank.
