Hi from Mexico City,

I'm trying to upgrade my sound system and I bought a JL CleanSweep to install an aftermarket Speakers, Subs and Amps. The JL CS installation looks really easy in the manual but in real life it's being a pain in the a...ˇˇˇ It is suposed that the signal must be taken from the speaker cables (in a system without amplifier) but how can I know where to take the signal if my infinity system already have an Amp? There are 3 wiring harnnes connected to the Radio/CD changer, one for the LCD screen, the middle one for power, ground, ignition and rheostat, etc. and the third one is the one that sends power, remote, signal, etc. to the amp... the question is... how do I connect the JL CS in this case? Where do I take the signal? I hope someone can help me with this...

This is how it looks from behind (the Radio/CD changer)

This is the middle harnnes (power, ignition, antena, etc)

This is the one that goes to the Amp.

This is the one tha sends signal to the LCD Screen. By the way, some know what for is that black terminal?

first of all if your going to install a speaker system why are you keeping the stock deck? stock decks don't run amps very well and are know to make even the best systems sound like crap.

i would invest in a nice deck, then replace your stock speakers. then go for a sub and amp kit. if you do not wish to buy a new deck then you can always buy a speaker output converter to RCA output. i have a little link to what i m talking about. although i did buy these for my oldsmobile alero and my system was a lot quieter than when i put it in my Eclipse with a after market deck.

i'm not sure if the item you are talking about is the same kind of thing. if so then you just connect it in as it says. right front right back left front left back. since most speakers and stereo decks are not polarity driven you can connect them anyway + to -, - to -, + to +. if you need to find your wires open your panels and look directly at your wires connected to your speakers. then write down the colors of each wire in each location. then connect to the correct locations on the converter.

HERE IS THE LINK.
