QUOTE(SixFeetDeep @ Mar 1 2008, 10:49 AM) Cool man thank you for the information. Once I can swing it I will post the differences....but it's going to be a while. Overtime has been cut out lately....so my additional funds have been cut off......sometime this spring...hopefully before summer LOL! If money is an issue, then perhaps you shouldn't be buying PIAA bulbs. QUOTE(Avalancer from Project Lancer Forums) If you donīt have the budget for HID or simply donīt want to go with that and keep on halogen bulbs, first of all, I personally DONT recommend PIAA bulbs, and donīt get me wrong, "some" PIAA bulbs are good but they are very expensive just for the brand name, not for the quality and color (you will spend almost 75% of the cost of a HID Kit with a pair of "good" PIAAs). But if you still wanna buy PIAAīs, go for it, just donīt say I didnīt warn you. A personal note: PIAAīs "extreme white plus" are nothing like "extreme white", they will look white/amber.
If what you want is HID like lighting with great brightness, go with the Philips DiamondVision. Some other good brands are Luminics, Polarg and Raybrig (both Polarg and Raybrig are a little bit more expensive), but keep in mind what I said about Kelvin rates. For Luminics, I recommend the Titanium White ones; for Polarg, the Shining Wizard ones, and for Raybrig, the White Sonic ones. If you want the full post, you can find it HERE. Lots of info for all of the 2008 Lancer bulbs, including tail lights and city lights.

welll....obviously the admin or mods here don't care...soooo Luminics are a run of the mill brand....same as the nokya bulbs you see on ebay...same as most ebay bulbs for that matter. look at this comparison (IMG: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v63/v10power/headlightcomparision.jpg) that is what you are looking for in Xenon bulbs. That is a picture of my hummer with the streetglow Xenon ultra white bulbs installed. I can give any and all forum members a good deal on bulbs, strobes, under car neon/led kits...anything..and offer a LIFETIME REPLACEMENT WARRANTY!!! The last bulb you will ever buy ;) just let me know Mike

QUOTE(QHN @ Mar 8 2008, 12:01 AM) I have replaced my low and high beam with Luminics Titaninium White and Ultra White for the fog lights on my black 08 Lancer. Looks cool -- but does anyone else think it provide less visibility and seems 'washed out' then the regular bulb. I have had the Silverstar on my 99 Civic and those seems to be much better visibility wise. Would like others opinion on this  I've had the same problem with replacing my stop and tail markers to LEDs. Red LEDs seem to be dimmer than stock and white LEDs in the red housing do seem washed out, providing more of an orange glow. The Philips SilverVision bulbs seem to get great reviews and are highly recommended for those who do not want to follow the HID path. They're slightly better than HIDs because they are halogen bulbs and don't need a DRL bypass. I still recommend HIDs since they use less energy and they are much brighter than any halogen bulb. I bought a 5000K low beam kit for my GTS and they look phenominal! Entire install took no more than 30 minutes, but I have yet to bypass the DRLs. I am currently forced to drive with my HIDs on during the daylight. And steelhumm, any type of strobe on your car is most likely illegal. I believe the police terminology would be "impersonating a police officer/official." ;)

QUOTE(steelhumm @ Mar 15 2008, 09:35 PM) not true :bwekk: they are illegal if you use them on public roads...no lighting is illegal to just have installed. Construction companies, plow companies, tow companies, volly fire/emt (in most areas) are all allowed to use strobes. True... but our Lancers are none of the above. :57:
