Hi,

I had the Navigation System (MMCS) installed to my Lancer GTS last week and have a quick question about it.

In the manual it says you can't put mp3's to the music server. I was just wondering if this information is correct because it didn't make any sense to me. If it is correct, is there any way to do it?

Thank you.

this is true, it cant rip MP3 files from CD's, the disc has to have actual CD files (not MP3s) to rip to the server. so instead of being able to rip multiple songs from one disc in MP3 format, you can only rip however many songs fit on a standard CD with standard CD files

Wish it could just transfer MP3s from a disc or MP3 player..this would make everything much faster

OK thank you. I guess I'm going to have to convert my mp3's into standard CD files. Of course this will require a lot more CDs...

I copied about 10 CDs to the Music Server and it works fine. Just one question though;

While copying, on some iTunes burned CDs, it kept saying "Could not record." and couldn't copy last few songs. It doesn't do that with all CDs. And it always happens at the end (last song of the CD or maybe last 2-3 songs).

Any ideas??

Try a different brand of CD media.

It's questionable about the type of format that the MMCS use.
