To set Electronic Compass:

Position vehicle on a flat empty carpark-type area.

Press and hold 'S' button (until right-turn arrow appears on display)

Drive car in two complete circles to the right.

Compass is now calibrated. :) Press 'S' button and repeat if required.

The compass should be recalibrated if battery has been removed/replaced, or if using vehicle in a significantly different location to that in which it was last calibrated... i.e. if vehicle is an import.
