Tranny not shifting once it reach speed of 80, can you pls. giv some advice on what to check on this kind of condition. since I got this car yr.2005 i had never change the ATF yet do you that not changing the ATF can affect this.

check the fluid level and condition. if the level is low it could effect it, if it smells like rotten death it can effect it. if this car is a 91 and you've had it for 3 years and the previous owner possibly didnt change the fluid either this fluid could be 17 years old. that's bad

Does the tranny shift at all? Does it start in a low gear , like its underpowered and stay in that gear and never change?
