I have done the TR /TS EFI 4 cyl conversion which works well
and more cost effective than fixing all the carby problems

I reseached the gearbox situation
prices a little less for the 4 cyl

you can drop a V6 and gearbox into your car with an engineers cert
but the brakes have to be upgraded

TR/TS V6
manuals
AU
approx $3000 for a full gearbox rebuild and fit
$400 the ceramic syncros are hard to source
$400 internal bearings
allow for worn syncro internals
or just have one part of the box repaired
Autos
same $3000 for a rebuild

cant fit a 380 box in or a 3rd gen

second hand box from a wrecker

it looks too complex, i dont think i'll do it myself. so it's better to be done in a mod shop or any mechanicians is alright?

dude your better off getting a new car, the 4cyl magnas are WAY underpowered and clunky as hell.
I know for a fact you can pick up a V6 94/95 TS Magna (or Verada if ya lucky) for approx $3000 with rego.
i got my car for $2800 with 10 months rego with 133 000km on the clock.
just one thing you have to watch out for, make sure the timeing belt/chain has been replaced within about 50 000/70 000km of what its at.

peace, and good luck
