Since getting a new car isn't very practicle right now considering in only 17(turing 18 may 5). I'm keeping my RS......here's my story.....this summer im going to be a camp counselor for Woodmen of the World Life Insurance summer camp. I will be making $1,200 this summer, as a counselor. What can are some ideas that I can do to my car. I was thinking about replacing my muffler with a real cat-back. Or getting a CAI. Or mabey a bodykit. Hit me back with some ideas.

in parts for the 5speed swap would be from $800-$1000 depending where you get it from.and probly another 1000 if you get a shop to do the swap. unless you can but you need to know your wiring

mostly performance, but performance is usually more expensive than looks, and i need anything i can do to make my car a little faster, oh btw i already have neon lights under the car. i was thinking about a cat-back, or cai or both. headers arent a bad idea either. i'm prety open to suggestions

theres really nothing you can do for the car that will make it faster with $1200. you could go the intake, headers, exhaust route but theres a good chance that you would only gain about 15hp for $1200. thats not a very good dollar to hp ratio.

i would suggest going with suspension. lowering the car, and upgrading the shocks and struts. then go with an RRE rear strut tower brace and a ST sway bar. if you still have some money left over, invest in a good set of brake rotors. powerslot rotors are very good and they wont burn a hole in your wallet

these mods wont make you go faster, but they will make the car 10 times better

how hard is it to install a 4 piece bodykit. im thinking about a bodykit and a strut bar, for back a front, or anti-sway.

short answer- no
long answer- depends on where you get the kit. Not all manufactures make them a perfect fit so theres cutting molding involved in fitting the kit on. Also if you have no idea how to do any of that then you might mess it up by trying to fit it. but to me it seems fairly easy.

sway bar- get a rear lower and front upper. is the eclipse classified as a hatch? if it is jut get a rear upper

you have an RS so you dont have a rear sway bar. my bad. you can get a rear strut tower brace. you can also get the front strut tower brace off of a GT. the GT front tower brace is better than any aftermarket front strut tower brace.

as for lowering the car, either go with Eibach lowering spring or Tein lowering springs. and get KYB AGX adjustable shocks and struts. the Eibach prokit and KYB will run you about $540. i can put you in touch with a lady that will get you those prices. if you try to buy them seperate, you will probably pay close to $650 for both
