I was wondering if anybody knew off hand which wire on the OEM head unit for the infinity system was the amp kick on lead? Neither the Chiltons or Mitchell wiring diagrams illustrate which wire this is.

Thanks
Jim

your looking for your remote wire, it is either light blue or blue with a white stripe on it. sometimes the wiring has labels on them you can normally use the wire labeled power antenna. if you have connected all your wires to at least run your stock speakers there is normally 2 wires left.

run your remote wire to your amp and then simply connect the wire to one of these wires whichever one turns your amp on is your best bet to use. if you are scared you might damage your amp or stereo, i suggest you turn your stereo on and then use a multimeter or test light to find the left over wire with voltage. this should be the one you use to kick on your amp.

Thanks, but I got it all figured out. Apparantly my car does not have a remote turn on lead and instead uses a lead in the DIN cable, so I ended up running a toggle switch, which, in the end, I am happier for because I don't really want tons of bass just listening to the news or some talk radio.

But thank you.

Jim
