I bought the car in June of 06. It was the only used Evo for sale in the whole state at the time, and it was red so i had to have it. I traded in my old 98 Eclipse gs-t which was in mint condition with on 70k miles. Anyways, i applied for a loan and got it barely. I took the Evo for a test drive and fell in love. Finally after kicking the tires we settled at a deal we were both happy with and i drove off. I never came out of 4th gear until a long straight away near my house at which time i shifted into 5th and found that the tranny would grind...every single time. I mean it would gring in fifth no matter what. Come to find out there was a tsb on 4th and 5th gear synchros. So i brought the car back to the dealer which is 2 hours away from my house. The synchros were replaced, covered under warranty and i was on my way back home again. A few days later i had the car up on one of my buddies lifts and found that teh tranny was leaking. One of the seals did not seal properly. I briefly took a look at the engine bay to also find out that the front motor mount had not been re-installed. Back to teh dealer for a seal to be replaced, and motor mount to be re-installed. More downtime. I get the car back and everything is golden...but not for long. 2 weeks later i'm driving the car and identify what i think is teh biggest boot leak evar, Turns out the clutch is slipping when i hit 12 pounds of boost. I throw it up on the lift to see that the back of the block is soaked in oil. Back to the dealer for the main engine seal to be replaced under warranty. At the same time i have them throw in an ACT streetdisc clutch. While they have teh tranny out is when i find out that teh stock flywheel can't be turned as it is scortched. The dealer just so happens to have a stcok flywheel to be delivered on that day, so what do i do? Throw it in i said, what other choice do i have. I wasn't going to pay labor for the car to sit until a new aftermarket one arived. I got the car back. All set. A year later is teh soonest i see a potential problem. A wet seal at the transfer case, and a wet seal on a rear axle shaft seal. Sent it to teh dealer and tehy were both covered. A sigh of relief later, here i am, me and my 03 lancer evolution 8 gsr...with no problems;)

I dunno man, at a $1 total cost, admin could easily have just bought himself a cheeseburger. What makes you think he would give up a tasty cheeseburger for you to have a sticker?

But, i could walk up and down the side of the road and pick up bottles for 5 cents each instead of posting on the forums. If i did that though i wouldn't be car of the month therefore the need for 2 free decals would not have been warranted. I'm going to Wendy's now.
