5000K is diamond white to my understanding and 6000K is also white, but with a slint of blue. My car is Electric Blue Pearl and I'm trying to decide which color to go with. I prefer the 5000K because they are less blue in color, but I want something that will go well with my car.

What do you guys (and gals) think?

Yeah 5000K for sure, they're a very nice crystal white which looks great with Electric Blue. I can say that from personal experience :)

What about for a Red Lancer, lol?

Personally, I prefer function over form. 5000K has better illumination and puts less strain on your eyes during night driving because the illumination it gives off is very similar to natural sunlight.

In my humble opinion, I think the 6000K would look pretty good on a Rally Red Lancer. All red with a slint of blue... <borat>very nice!</borat>

One more thing (man I appreciate the help :grin: ), any suggestions on a HID kit? The DRL sticky here says to get a kit with an extra 9006 wire, but I'm having trouble picking a good kit. What kit did you get KaranB?

its just headlights, its not gonna change the look of your car that much. :P Either one should be fine.

As well as having a good chance at blinding oncoming traffic, lol.

Most halogen reflectors aren't really the best for HID... They tend to have a fair amount of glare...

Usually not noticeable from your drivers seat...
