Hey, just wondering if it is possible to change the bulb in the side marker. The car manual says that you cannot change it but I think there should be a way. Does anyone suggest baking it? I believe it is glued on pretty well but i have never done something like this before so i'm iffy.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

No you just reach into the bay, turn the bulb counterclockwise. Pull it out of the socket, and remove it from the plug.

Hi, I'm talking about the side marker on the side of the car below the side mirrors, not the one on the headlight.

THanks!

You mean the side turn-signal lights then? Those arent marker lights...

It's the only bulb that isn't covered in the manual.

Weird...

i've tried already. theyre glued pretty good. i didn't want to risk it because if you don't glue it back perfectly water will leak in when it rains.

Thanks but that wasn't my question. I wanted to know how to remove the bulb, not how to remove the light off the car.

If its a 168/194 type bulb it should be just a simple pull-out.

you can't take the dome apart. It's glued on pretty good. Baking does not work, i already tried it and melted the clips. I'm pretty sure it's not possible at this point.

So you have to replace the whole side turn signal assembly instead of just the bulb? Let me guess...the replacements about $100? Typical for car manufacturers these days.

You might be able to drill out the old bulb and rig up your own with replaceable bulbs but it might not be worth the time you'd put into it. :(

Agreed... Baking does not work - all I ended up doing was warping the housing so it no longer stays in place w/o some double sided tape.

The quote I got was ~$18 for a replacement.
