I have a 2003 Outlander all wheel drive model.
Lately the rear suspension, rear wheels, are tilting in. Top towards vehicle.
Is there a fix for this? I did see a half moon adjuster on a sway bar. Does this adjust the wheels out ? Any help would be most appreciated.

Sorry for the delay but I just noticed your question. Usually it's because of upper control arm failure. If you set your knees each side of the rear wheel and grab the top of the tire and pull towards you. There should be no movement or klunking noise. If there is you need new Upper control arms. Part #MN100107
The eccentric bolts you saw adjust toe-in. You can add eccentric bolts for camber if necessary by knocking out the welded metal tabs(see picture) where the inner bushing of the lower control arm bolts-on. Bolts are the same as toe-in.
But more than likely you won't need these if you replace the upper control arms. If your mechanic is handy he can add grease nipples to the bushings to prolong life. You can visite my garage and see pictures of my modified upper control arms and dog bones.

Actually that is incorrect , most of these vehicles , like small SUV that is on a car chassis that is horizontal engine layout with 4WD the rear suspension is this way . The issue is that on most times since not being a traditional longitudanal engine 4WD layout , and also being on a "crossover" chassis with the wheel and suspension layout adjusted for a higher stance is wut makes the rear wheel seem to have a inward look on teh rear wheel. if yu look at RAV4 and other similar yu will see they are the same way. It does not nessecarilly mean that the ball joint is bad, the rear upper ball joint will not make the wheel kink in since it is on an upper control arm. It may make popping or knocking noises if the ball joint is out but thats it. Yu can have the camber checked on yur rear wheels if it make yu feel any better tho.

I have an '04. I had the exact same symptoms. If you jack up both sides (I had to jack up both sides to feel the movement) of the car see if you can feel an play in the wheel. See if you can move "straighten" the wheel when its jacked up. Mine felt wobbly. I changed the upper control arm and its fine now.

Although I do have another problem and I wonder if anyone has a suggestion. Like I said above I changed both the upper control arms about 2000km ago and now I'm getting a lot of creaking noise from the rear end. I didn't change the control links and I'm wondering if its those. Or else maybe the lower arm bushing?

Any ideas? Does anyone know of a way to figure out which bushing is doing the creaking? Its really hard to localize the sound.

Ive seen thios sumtimes , if the replced parts are greasable , sumtimes when they are low on grease they will squeak. But Ive had a Galant VR-4 and also Lancer GSR that i replaced the control arms on and the noise was coming from the ball joint. I had replaced the control arm because of the bushings but the ball joint seeminglly wore out prematurely.

KiT TeUnG 2549 U say this is incorrect but you fail to say what I said was incorrect. I have re-read my reply and everything I mention is true. Now if you are going to call me a liar please specify.
