I just bought a new iphone. I looked at various site I dont hink FM transmittor is a good idea for the iPhone. Can I get an AUX cable for my car 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse. If anyone has bought it please let me know how much would it cost me.

Depends if your head unit will take it. Are you wanting to use it for hands-free calling or just to play music off of it?

you're absolutely right, a FM transmitter is pretty crappy. If you still have the factory radio in the car, you are better off getting an fm modulator. similar to the transmitter, the biggest difference being that the modulator is a direct plug in to the back of your radio where the antenna plugs in, which gives you a much cleaner sound. Also there is a pass thru for your car antenna to plug in as well so you will still have reception. Ive been in the custom car audio business for a while, any questions email me

if you have a aux input on your deck like mine in the front for a mp3/ipod/zune/cd player ect. it uses the normal head phone1/8 mini jack. you can simply go into wal-mart and buy a male/male 1/8 mini jack wire to connect directly to your deck.

it has a great sound and you can also turn your volume on your ipod up and down without it throwing your volume frequencies off like the transmitters do. now if you have the RCA aux input on the back you can also buy a male to male connector, one side RCA the other side 1/8 mini jack. i think monster cable wiring even has a gold plated version of this.

directly wiring your ipod to your deck through quick disconnects is the only way you are going to get a crisp clean sound without interference. i suggest if you want your wiring right now go to Wal-mart. or Circuit city depending on what your looking to spend if not buy it online. in stores the male/male mini jack prices range from $10 to $30. online they range from $3 up to $30.
