Just realized I posted this question in the wrong forum, sorry. Here it is again...

I have a Mitsubishi mirage (1997) with a Mitsubishi Motors factory radio, Model JO42 (that what it is labelled on the front) It doesn't have a cassette or built in CD player, yet it does have a button labelled "CD" I'm assuming that this would enable installation of a CD stacker. I want to know if it is possible to wire a line level signal (from an MP3 player) into this "CD" input. I'm guessing that there could be some connectors on the back of the stereo that would have signal in, power out and possibly something that detects the input signal to go into CD mode.
I don't want to pull everything apart until I know if this can be done. Does anone know if and how this can be done?

you can use one of those FM transmitters for your mp3 players that the FM transmitter hooks directly into your antenna port instead of your antenna. i mean if your going to use a MP3 player you might as well say goodbye to the radio. because once you have all your own good tunes and no commercials you don't ever really turn on the radio anyways. but hey thats up to you, hope that helps.
