Our national cars, Proton Saga, Wira and Iswara is still using a 4g15b variant engine. Their spare parts fit like a charm! So for me no worries....yet.

To my knowledge the 4g63 is developed in 84' for the evo. Moreover the galant VR-4 came out as early as 85' but nowhere near the 70's.

For Joginder Singh's WRC Lancer, he used a 4G32 according to Mitsubishi's website. The G63B, elder brother of the 4G63, came out by 1984. So unless Joginder was able to acquire a prototype of the Sirius engine, there's no way a 4G63 was fitted in the A73 Lancer back in 1974 and 1976. Besides, it's more inspiring learning that a 1600 A73 Lancer was able to beat up a Lancia Stratos and Porsche's 911 armed with a 2600 engine.

About 1600 Lancer beating Stratos, in my other forum my Mirage Colleagues argued that the A73 in the 70's are 4WDs becoz it should be a Rally spec car!!! Talk about skepticism! This line can be found in the 3rd paragraph. Prior to the Lancer 1600 GSR, there was the Galant 16L GS, which sported the 4G31 (1500cc) that had a maximum output of 150 horsepower. I don't have numbers yet on the Lancer's output...

Hence, a 4G32'd car can swap in a 4G63 without worrying too much about transmission issues, just the engine mounts. That same friend of mine said that a 4G92 MIVEC swap would also be possible for the A73. :D Hmm... 175hp on a 865kg body... not bad. :)

Pinoy ka rin pala! :clap: G63B ba yan from EX boxtype? Ayos a! Great car w/ great setup! Hope to see that car soon! blooz, AFAIK, the G63B is relatively bolt-on for your Lancer, but for the newer gen 4G63's (1989-up), conversion has to be done on the tranny.

Lately I have been having thoughts about bringing back an ole school Lancer we never got any Lancers befor the A120 model that is the one that was ~1972 a lot of guys here crossbreed these models with Nissan CA-19, SR-20\DE\DET engines I would like to know what the finished product of your project looks like
